An Overview of Where Jesus Himself Spent His Time!
THE BASILICA OF THE ANNUNCIATION
At the Basilica of the Annunciation, also known as the Church of the Annunciation, you'll get to visit the site of the house of the Virgin Mary, and where the Angel Gabriel appeared to her and announced to her that she would conceive Jesus, the son of God.
THE CHURCH OF THE NATIVITY
The Bible tells the story of the birth of Jesus in a manger in Bethlehem. With us, you can experience the place of Jesus' nativity and the field where an angel of the Lord appeared to the shepherds, announcing the birth of a saviour, Christ the Lord.
BAPTISMAL SITE ON THE RIVER JORDAN
Located on the banks of the River Jordan, you'll get to be baptised at the same location where it is believed that John the Baptist performed the baptism of Jesus.
MT. OF TEMPTATION
At the edge of the Judean desert, overlooking the Jericho oasis, the lowest city on earth, lies the Mt. of Temptation. It is here that Satan attempted to tempt Jesus, who had spent 40 days and nights in the desert.
SEA OF GALILEE
Much of Jesus' ministry occurs on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus walked on water. It is in Capernaum, on the northern shore of the lake, that the Bible says Jesus performed many of his miracles, and on the Mt of Beatitudes that he delivered the Sermon on the Mount to his followers.
CHURCH OF THE TRANSFIGURATION (MT. TABOR)
Visit the site where it is believed that Jesus transfigured and became a radiant glory upon a mountain. Here is where Jesus spoke with Moses and Elijah, and Jesus is called "son" by God. It is one of the significant events that took place in Jesus' life, believed to be one of the miracles of Jesus.
VIA DOLOROSA AND THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, along the Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross, until you reach the place of his final sacrifice - Golgotha. Here stands the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where you can experience the final four stages of the passion of Christ.
CHAPEL OF THE ASCENSION
Housing a slab of stone thought to contain one of Jesus' footprints, the Chapel of the Ascension on the Mt. of Olives sits at the location where it is traditionally believed that Jesus ascended to heaven after his Resurrection.
